I refer to your official information request received by this Council on Sunday 9 February 2020
requesting information on all residential subdivisions of five sections or more approved by this
Council since 1 January 2010, including name of subdivision (name it was marketed to buyers as),
the location of the subdivision (including main existing road access and suburb) and size of
subdivision (number of sections, and in hectares).
We have decided to grant your request in part, namely information which relates to a list of all
subdivisions approved by this Council since 1 January 2010, being Resource consent number of
Subdivision, applicant name, location of subdivision and size of subdivision.
We have also decided to refuse your request for information which relates to the ‘name of the
subdivision and/or the name it was marketed to buyers as’ under section 17(e)of the LGOIMA, as
this Council does not hold this information.
Given the amount of resource required to process your request, we have decided to charge for
making part of the requested information available. We estimate that the maximum charge will be
$3,888.00. Any unused component of this charge wil be refunded to you. For details of how this
charge has been calculated refer to the enclosed estimate of costs. Please feel free to contact us
should you wish to refine your request to try to reduce or remove need for a charge.
Before we proceed further with your request, please confirm your agreement to the charge. We
will provide you with an invoice for full payment of the charge, and we wil send you the
information within of your payment.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
