Thank you for your email. The requirements of directors of Crown entities is set out in the Crown Entities Act 2004 and the entities own governing legislation. In this case, this is the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra Act 2004.

The specific provisions in the Crown Entities Act 2004 relating to board member requirements for appointment are set out in sections 28-32. Individual board member duties are set out in sections 53-57, and collective duties of the board are described in sections 49-52 of the Act.
