Request for a complete copy of ACC's May 2006 Acupuncture Treatment Profile, and copies of all subsequent iterations published through to todays date.
David Lawson made this Official Information request to Accident Compensation Corporation
The request was successful.
From: David Lawson
Dear Accident Compensation Corporation,
I respectfully request that the Corporation make available to me under the provisions of the OIA 1982, complete copies of ACC's May 2006 guideline to Acupuncture Treatment Profiles publication, and copies of all previous and subsequent iterations published between May 2005 through to todays date which I have been unable to obtain copies through the ACC website.
I believe PDF copies of this ACC resource was previously available through the ACC's website search function (please refer to Mr Mark Hanna's previous www.fyi.org.nz request that can be found at https://fyi.org.nz/request/3044-correspo...), which provided an ACC web link https://www.acc.co.nz/PRD_EXT_CSMP/group... which when selected comes up with the message " We can't find that page"
A search today using the current ACC website search function using the key word : "acupuncture" returned only the following 6 results;
1. AERG consensus document - acupuncture and musculoskeletal conditions
2. Evidence based review - acupuncture and musculoskeletal conditions
3. Evidence based review - acupuncture and mental health conditions
4. Purchasing guidance - acupuncture and mental health conditions
5. Evidence based review - acupuncture and musculoskeletal pain
6. Treatment we can help pay for
I respectfully request that this information is provided to me under urgency within the next 10 working days, being by the end of business close on the 20 March 2020, for the reason that I can further review ACC's decision to decline cover for the treatment injury claim that I lodged under claim number 10031989043.
Under s16(2) of the Official Information Act, my preferred way of receiving a response is by email to the address from which ACC received the original request, not by post.
I thank you for your time and assistance.
Yours faithfully,
David Lawson

It's a shame ACC chose to release this information in such an inaccessible format. The PDF they have released is watermarked and impossible to search, despite no information having been withheld that I can see.
Given the document has previously been publicly available, I can think of no reasonable justification for transforming it in this way.
I have a copy of the Acupuncture Treatment Profiles document that you requested, which I had downloaded from the ACC website prior to it having been removed. I have made this PDF available publicly on Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18icZo8u...
