Hello G Hill,
Thank you for your patience, with regard to your request about the Council's involvement in the Shared Services IT model and any related reviews.
We are due to provide you with a decision on your request by today, 29 June 2020, under LGOIMA. Unfortunately, we are unable to do this at this point as there are still factors that need to be reviewed before the decision can be made. As such, I need to extend the timeframe for the Council to make a decision on your request by 2 weeks, until Monday 13 July 2020.
Again, thank you for your patience.
Kind regards
Chris

Dear G Hill,
Thank you for your request for copies of any and all reports concerning the benefits of the Council's shared services IT model.
What I can advise you is that there has been no comprehensive analysis of the benefits of the Shared Service IT Model. There is only the attached 'Benchmarking report', which was triggered half-way through the 5-year Dimension Data contract. This was carried out by an independent third party.
Please note that some information has been redacted in the attached report. This has taken place under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA), section 7(2)(a) to protect the privacy of individuals, and section 7(2)(b)(ii) to prevent prejudice to the commercial position of the person who is the subject of the information.
If you do not agree with the decision to withhold this information, you may apply in writing to the Office of the Ombudsman to ask them to investigate the decision.
Kind regards
Chris
