Dear Fire and Emergency New Zealand,
On Nov 4 2019 a vegetation fire occurred at Cornish Point, Cromwell. By the time the first responding appliance arrived some 6ha of scrub had burned, A total of 5 helicopters were deployed to this fire and when extinguished it had burnt a total of 8 ha.
Under the provisions of the Official Information Act, can you please provide the details of the total costs incurred by FENZ to control and extinguish this fire including those for the helicopters.
