COVID-19 Response and Recovery Ads
Blaize McCabe made this Official Information request to Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
The request was successful.
From: Blaize McCabe
Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet,
Please provide a copy of all TV and Radio ads generated by Government as part of the "Unite against Covid-19" and "Unite for the Recovery" campaigns. I understand some of these were available at one point on the covid19.govt.nz website, however they are not available anymore. Please also provide the costings for these ads to be generated, and the amount spent by government for these ads to be played on TV and Radio.
Yours faithfully,
Blaize McCabe

Dear Information [DPMC],
Great, Thanks for that. I’m just wanting to check, does this include any ads generated after my request was made or just before?
Yours sincerely,

DPMC's justification for not providing the requested COVID-19 ads was that it would take too much collation, however, they included collation of resources I never requested as justification for declining under 18(f). It is hard to believe that tv and radio ads that feature the same voice actor, and likely to have been produced by the same company or department are not already somewhat collated, therefore as I am not happy with their response, a complaint has been laid with the ombudsman (Saturday 15 August 2020).
