Proposed time line regarding lifting the postponement of EOI selection of skilled migrant programme
Ravi made this Official Information request to Iain Lees-Galloway
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Iain Lees-Galloway should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Ravi
Dear Iain Lees-Galloway,
With due respect, other than the reason of border restriction, may I know what hinders the re-opening of EOI selection of skilled migrant programme of those onshore applicants?
Skilled workers have been staying put at their duties during the COVID-19 saga and the postponement decision is really frustrating to those qualified with EOI lodged, especially when residence application has resumed processing in May 2020.
I fully understand the whole world is facing an unprecedented challenge and I truly hold the belief NZ is a country of fairness and hope. I know the Government is putting daily life back to normal in system and I sincerely wish the EOI selection will be reopened to those onshore applicants soon, giving hope to those skilled workers who are contributing as well.
Respectfully, thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Ravi
