Dear Anthony
Thank you for your email of 19 January 2014 to the Department of
Conservation requesting information under the Official Information Act
1982. The NZ Transport Agency received your transferred request on 24
January 2014.
Please note that there is no current intention to seal State Highway 38.
It does not appear in the current National Land Transport Programme, nor
is it planned for the next National Land Transport Programme.
Given this, we are unsure whether you will still wish to proceed with your
OIA request. If you do, we would like your clarification on some points in
order to be able to provide an answer that is useful to you. Specifically:
· There are no formal submissions. However the Transport Agency
has been party to emails and letters from residents asking that the road
be sealed. Is this what you are wanting? If so, please give a date range.
· For points 4 and 5, do you require research relating to State
Highway 38 specifically, or in general?
Please reply by return email, or contact Chuck Dowdell, Highway Manager
Napier, by email to [1][email address] or by phone on (06) 974
5517.
