Re your OIA request received by the Department on 29 October wherein you
requested the Department to :

 

please forward all correspondence that has been exchanged between DOC and
OSPRI; DOC and Beef + Lamb NZ Ltd; DOC and Forest and Bird; DOC and
Federated Farmers; DOC and MPI; mentioning Raukumara.

 

Our initial internal consultation on your request indicates that the
request will require substantial collation and research, and will be
difficult to response to.

 

Accordingly, the Department would be grateful if you could give urgent
consideration to narrowing the scope of your request. As you are aware,
Crown funding decisions in respect of Raukumara Forest were announced by
the Minister for Conservation in 2020. Would you be happy for your request
to therefore be confined to all relevant correspondence exchanged by the
above parties in 2020 only?
