In relation to Van Lier Nurseries application to the Environmental Protection Authority for a Rapid Release Assessment for Peperomia albovittata and P. quardangularis/angulata I request the following information under the Official Information Act.

We have logged this as an Official Information Act request and can treat
it as one if you prefer. But following a discussion with the Manager of
our New Organisms team, we consider we can be more helpful to you if we
can identify information that would be specific to your needs. We believe
that a simple list of the qualifications and experience of some EPA staff
is not very likely to be helpful to you, and we while could simply supply
this information, we would prefer to provide what is going to be of most
value to you. (Such as – for example – clarification of the applications
and decision-making process, if that is what you would like.)

Thank you for your letter requesting an extension in supplying the information requested.
From your previous response about utilising Linked In I have been able to establish the qualifications of three team members - Aubaine Rayel (Marine Biology), Gabi Hidvegi (Ecology and Biodiversity) and Tim Strabala. I also now know that Tim Strabala worked for Scion and would have good knowledge about plant biology.
Can you please tell me how many other people are working on the New Organisms Team?

In response to your question - the New Organisms team is made up of eight members, which include a manager and an administrator. The three team members who have made their information available on LinkedIn are the people who are relevant to the specific application you have referred to, as the other team members are working on other matters.
I believe we've now given you all the information you wanted. If so, would you consider withdrawing your OIA request of 15 February. Please let us know.
