Breakdown of Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) costs
New Zealand International Students Association (NZISA) made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for New Zealand International Students Association (NZISA) to read recent responses and update the status.
From: New Zealand International Students Association (NZISA)
Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
I am writing as the National President of New Zealand International Students Association (NZISA). We are responsible for national advocacy on behalf of international students.
In light of the new announcement made today by the MBIE, on increasing the MIQ costs for temporary visa holders from $3100 to $5520, please provide the complete breakdown of the MIQ costs.
We would like to understand the rationale for the additional $2420 that is applicable only to temporary visa holders. This information would help us support international students who are currently offshore, and will be severely impacted by this cost increase.
Looking forward to your response.
Yours faithfully,
Afiqah Ramizi
National President
New Zealand International Students Association
