Homes before and after Building Act 1992
S Rasool made this Official Information request to Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities
The request was refused by Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities.
From: S Rasool
Dear Kāinga Ora & MBIE Team,
I believe the Building Act 1992 is the latest one focusing on the seismic resilience profile against which all the building work is done now as well as strengthening.
I would like to have file in excel *.xls or *.xlsx or *.csv format with the following please;
1) Column A, House Address
2) Column B, province or region
3) Column C, District Council name for said property
4) Column D, Year of construction
5) Column E, Year of Earthquake strengthening (if done on property)
I'm branch committee member of Engineering New Zealand, and preparing a heat-map for New Zealand for national response readiness programme for earthquake prone structures.
Highly urgent request and appreciate your cooperation in this regard.
Yours faithfully,
S Rasool

Dear S Rasool,
Further to my email yesterday it appears likely that your original request will need to be clarified or amended to enable us to respond. Please note, any clarification or amendment of a request is considered to be a new request for the purpose of calculating the maximum statutory timeframe for response—see section 15(1AA) of the OIA.
At the moment with your request it is not really clear what you are wanting which limits our ability to provide the information you want and we may have to decline your request. Are you wanting information about all houses in New Zealand? Or just houses owned by Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities?
Also, if you have any questions or queries about this or any other aspect of your request please do not hesitate to contact me.
