Dear OIA Services,
Thank you very much for your reply, much appreciated.
Just one quick point of clarification, in your response, you mention that "there is not enough evidence about the efficacyof vaccinations on preventing the transmssion of COVID-19... to consider altering isolation requirements."
How has this concusion been arrived at? It seems to me that any such review or consideration of evidence (or a decision not to) would be within the remit of the information I have requestsed.
Yours sincerely,
Ben Moore

Thank you for your email.
The duration of MIQ is based initially on the overall infectious period. We haven’t observed a significant change in that from variants nor on evidence coming through on vaccinated individuals at this point.
These are factors that we are constantly monitoring, with regular updates such as the Variant of Concern Update which is publicly available at: https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/dise....
The absence of information means that there is not a decision document that would be released as within the scope of this request.
