Cost of Subsurface Rights for Auckland City Rail Link
Matthew Hooton made this Official Information request to Grant Robertson
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Grant Robertson should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Matthew Hooton
Dear Minister of Finance
This OIA request concerns City Rail Link Ltd, of which you, the Minister of Transport and Auckland Council are the shareholders, and is about the costs of securing subsurface rights for the City Rail Link it is building.
My request is to you and the Minister of Transport and is for:
1) the total cost already paid or agreed to be paid by CRLL for subsurface rights, up until 11.59pm on 28 May 2021
2) the total costs paid by CRLL for consultants and other external providers in relation to 1 above
3) CRLL's total cost estimate of further subsurface rights, beyond those covered by 1 above, to allow the completion of the project
4) CRLL's total cost estimate for consultants and other external providers in relation to 3 above
Please note I do not seek information paid to any specific party - just the total dollar figures.
I am also making this request under the LGOIMA to Auckland Council.
Thank you
Yours sincerely
Matthew Hooton

then your opinion will be noted and your correspondence may be transferred
to another office, or there may be no further response to you.
Please note information about meetings related to the Ministers’
portfolios will be proactively released (this does not include personal or
