Kia ora koutou,

Further to my earlier request under the OIA [1], I am making another
request under the OIA for a broader set of information. Please do let me
know if you have any questions or concerns about this request.

Please provide the following information under the Official Information
Act the number of students who self-identified with the University as
belonging to the following ethnic groups, broken down by ethnic group, who
were awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the following Faculties
/ LSRIs between 2001 and 2021.

If it is possible to without having to invoke s 18(f) of the OIA, please
also break this down per subject area of the doctorate, in the same way as
my original request.

Please also provide the total number of PhD students who graduated per
year per Faculty / LSRI for the same time period.

The ethnic groups I would like this data for are:
- Māori
- Sāmoan
- Fijian
- Tongan
- Cook Islander
- Niuean
- Tokelauan
- Other Pacific Islander

The Faculties / LSRIs I would like this information for:

- Faculty of Arts
- Business School
- Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries
- Faculty of Education and Social Work
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences
- Liggins Institute
- Auckland Bioengineering Institute

I have not included the Faculty of Science as that information was already
released to me.

Thank you for the information. Note that in the initial request, I also
requested that you "Please also provide the total number of PhD students

this has not been supplied. Please either provide this information, or the
reason it has been withheld.
