Kia ora Scott,
Thank you for your request for official information received on 21
February 2022 for:
"Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, clusters and sub-clusters
have been either listed on the MOH website or in daily media releases. An
example of this can be found via this
link:https://www.health.govt.nz/covid-19-nove...
Would you be able to provide a list of clusters and sub-clusters that
occurred between 1 January 2022 and 21 February 2022 that resulted in at
least 20 cases linked to them.
Could you list a name of the cluster/sub-cluster, the type of setting
(e.g. wedding, bar, nightclub) and the number of cases associated with
each one. I understand that some may not be able to be named due to
privacy, however I simple description would be sufficient (e.g. private
gathering).”
A secondary request for official information was received on 21 February
2022 for:
“Can you provide me with the number of COVID-19 cases that
have been linked to outdoors transmission from 17 August 2021 until 21
February 2022. Could you also provide a list of the type of outdoor
setting the cases occurred in.”
The Ministry of Health has consolidated your requests under reference
number: H202202839.
As required under the Official Information Act 1982, the Ministry will
endeavour to respond to your request no later than 21 March 2022, being 20
working days after the day your first request was received.
Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic response, the Ministry is experiencing
significantly higher volumes of queries and requests for information. If
we are unable to respond to your request within this time frame, we will
notify you of an extension of that time frame.
If you have any queries related to this request, please do not hesitate to
get in touch.
