Official information request regarding disability staff
I refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act)
that was transferred to us from the Ministry of Education on 19 April 2022:
“How many FTE disabilities support staff are at each university institution and
if relevant why there are discrepancies in these numbers.
What is the allocation for these staff at each institution, how many minimum are
required”
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington currently has 14 full time equivalent
(FTE) staff working in Te Amaru-Disability Services. This comprised of 12.1 FTE Te
Amaru-Disability Services office staff and 1.9 FTE support staff (sign language
interpreters, electronic transcribers, academic support workers).
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of the
decisions made regarding this request. Information about how to make a complaint is
