Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 request (OIA) to NZTE,
received 31 May 2022 requesting:
1. Sponsorship or funding paid to the Kiwi Expat Association (KEA) over
the past 24 months.
2. KPIs, goals, or targets that KEA has met in the past 24 months and
those that have been set for the future.
3. Correspondence between KEA and NZTE over the past 24 months in
relation to ongoing funding of the organisation.
In accordance with the OIA, NZTE will make a decision on your request as
soon as reasonably practicable and within 20 working days of 31 May 2022.
The latest date for a decision on your request is 30 June 2022.

I am writing to update you on your OIA request to NZTE asking for the
below:
1. Sponsorship or funding paid to the Kiwi Expat Association (KEA) over
the past 24 months.
2. KPIs, goals, or targets that KEA has met in the past 24 months and
those that have been set for the future.
3. Correspondence between KEA and NZTE over the past 24 months in
relation to ongoing funding of the organisation.
Due to ongoing consultation being required, we are extending the time to
make a decision on your request from 30 June 2022 to 11 August 2022. We
will endeavour to respond to you sooner with this being the latest date
for a decision. This extension is made under section 15A(1)(b), as the
consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a
proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or you can freephone 0800 802 602.
