Hi Heather
Thank you for your request. We only know about these events if the child
is admitted to hospital. The number of publicly funded hospital
discharges aged 0-14 with a primary diagnosis of
Anaphylaxis and anaphylactic shock, unspecified (ICD-10 code T78.2) and an
external cause code of Contact with hornets, bees and wasps (ICD-10 code
X23) was:
2016/17 = 2
2017/18 = 2
2018/19 = 1
2019/20 = 9
2020/21 = 3
