Dear Darren
Request made under the Official Information Act 1982
Thank you for your email of 11 September 2022 requesting the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act) in response to the AHBSP SSBC Economics spreadsheet you received
on 22 August 2022:
This information request was for an economics analysis prepared in accordance with an
obsolete NZTA standard for a project that has been official y cancel ed. There should be no
impediment under the Official Information Act to deliver the requested documents in ful and
without delay.
I repeat, my original request included the statement: "This request includes any spreadsheet(s)
or other files directly linked in the economics assessment spreadsheet." The two links in the
delivered spreadsheet precisely identified files and their locations on the NZTA network. Only
one of the two identified files has been delivered.
The original request has not been modified and no clarification has been sought. No notice of
time extension has been received. Delivery of the documents requested has exceeded the
20day limit. The request for the identified undelivered linked file remains extant.
Please provide these documents to ful y satisfy this request for information.
The EEM Worksheet 2019-04-10.xlsx referred to in the AHBSP SSBC Economics spreadsheet that
you received on 22 August 2022 calculated the economic disbenefits of removing a traffic lane from
the Auckland Harbour Bridge. This was not used in the calculation of benefits and costs, and did not
inform the project economic evaluation, as the 2020 business case did not propose removing a traffic
lane from the bridge. However, for completeness, a copy of the EEM worksheet is attached.
If you would like to discuss this reply with Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, please contact
Ministerial Services by email to [NZTA request email].
Yours sincerely
