Under section 12(2) of the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), the
official information requested needs to be specified with due
particularity in the request. The University has a School of Computer
Science that offers courses in Computer Science

and – at the undergraduate level – students can study Computer Science as
a major in the Bachelor of Science, or as a specialisation in the Bachelor
of Advanced Science (Honours)

If you wish to request information about the number/percentage of female
students studying computer science, please specify in more detail what
statistics you wish to request, so that the University can action your
request under the OIA. In particular, you would need to specify whether
you wish to request data based on course completions or degree completions
(and if so, which degrees), and the level of study you are interested in
(undergraduate/postgraduate).

 

Although your request indicates you are interested in data for 2022, as
that is the current year, any data on course completions or degree
completions that the University could provide for 2022 would be incomplete
and not comparable to previous years.
