I refer to your information request dated 2 November made under the Official Information Act 1982. You have requested information in relation to the Bachelor of Radiation Therapy (BRT) programme at the University of Otago.
Would it be possible to please clarify the information you are after?
1. In all of your questions, you are requesting information for the years 2019 - 2021. Do you mean entering the BRT programme in 2019 - 2021, or applying in 2019 - 2021 for entry to the BRT programme in 2020 - 2022?
2. For questions 1 - 4, you are requesting information for "general entry". Is there a particular admissions category you are interested in? In case it is helpful, the categories of admission to the BRT programme are:
- Secondary School category
- One Year of University Study category
- Two or More Years of University Study category
- Graduate category
- Alternative category
Further information on the categories of admission to the BRT programme can be found at the Guidelines for Admission webpage on the University of Otago website: https://www.otago.ac.nz/healthsciences/s....
We will wait to hear back from you before we continue to process your request. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Ngā mihi

If we have any further questions, or need to seek clarification on any other points, we will be in touch soon. Otherwise, we will seek to respond to your request as soon as practicable and no later than 20 working days after the date your request was clarified (by 5 December 2022). I refer to your information request dated 2 November 2022 (clarified 7 November 2022) made under the Official information Act 1982 (the Act). You have requested information in relation to entry to the University of Otago's Bachelor of Radiation Therapy (BRT) programme from 2019 - 2021.
The Act requests that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the date your request was received. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit. We are therefore writing to notify you, pursuant to section 15A of the Act, of a short extension of time to make our decision in respect of your request, by a further 5 working days - to Monday 12 December 2022.
This extension is necessary because your request necessitates a search through a large quantity of information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with our operations. We are currently working on your response, but due to the large amount of information you have requested (3 years of information for each admissions category) we require some additional time to complete our response. We thank you for your patience and will endeavour to provide the information sooner if possible.
If you are not satisfied with our extension of time, you have the right to make a complaint to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the Act. However, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss any concerns with you first.
Ngā mihi
