identity, within Fire and Emergency.  We will contact you to discuss your
concerns and how they will affect our approach to processing your request.

We will also contact you if:

process, your request;

·         we need to tell a third party who you are, in order to consult
on your request or information that relates to it.

Thank you for your request.

 

When attending non-fire related incidents involving a fatality, Fire and
Emergency New Zealand attend in a support capacity. We do not record
whether the fatality was a suicide or otherwise, as determining cause of
death in these circumstances is not our function.

 

We have considered whether your request could be transferred to Police as
your request is most aligned with their functions. However, your request
is specific to incidents attended by Fire and Emergency. Consequently, a
decision has been made to decline your request under section 18(g) of the
Official Information Act 1982, as the information requested is not held by
Fire and Emergency.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision.  Information about how to make a complaint is available at
