Thank you for your Of icial Information Act 1982 request to NZTE, originally sent on 8
November 2022 and received by NZTE upon your follow up on 7 December 2022. We
apologise once more for the internal email system error that caused your original request to be
lost and for the delay in response this caused. You requested the following information:
How much money has the NZTE Investment team spent on external recruiters in the last 5
years?
How many agencies has this spend been across. Please provide a breakdown of spend per
agency (names can be excluded).
Due to the specialist skillset, expertise and private sector experience required for roles in its
investment team, NZTE will often use external recruitment agencies with expertise in this area
to help attract appropriate candidates.
NZTE has conducted a search of its financial records for the spend on recruitment activity with
external recruitment agencies conducted by its Investment team over the past five financial
years 2017/18 to 2021/22. The total amount spent on external recruitment agencies for NZTE’s
Investment team over this time period was $660,246.32.
The breakdown of spend per agency over the five financial years 2017/18 – 2021/22 is as
