applications you have received from the public and how many you have
received from other government nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry
of women etc.

The job description of the role and the pay rate. Also, current member's
name and their term of appointment.

Can you also supply the full meeting minutes of CEDA Board from Jan 2022
to Jan 2023.

We refer to your official information request dated 11 February 2023 for
information relating to CEDA (Central Economic Development Agency) board
member recruitment, salary, appointments and minutes. 

 

Our response

1. How did you call for public nomination and on what platform you have
call for public nominations, e.g. govt.jobs website.

We advertised on the PNCC website (pncc.govt.nz) and SEEK (seek.co.nz) for
expressions of interest.

 

2. How many applications you have received from the public and how many
you have received from other government nominating agencies such as TPK or
Ministry of women etc.

We received 12 applications from members of the public; none from
nominating agencies.

 

3. The job description of the role and the pay rate.  

We do not hold a copy of a job description for the role of director at
CEDA, however a copy of the information published in the advertisement
seeking expressions of interest is attached.

The CEDA Appointment of directors policy is attached; the renumeration of
the director will be set in accordance with this policy (see clause 4.1).
The latest CEDA report (available on their website) provides the
renumeration of directors on page 55:

4. Also, current member's name and their term of appointment.

5. Can you also supply the full meeting minutes of CEDA Board from Jan
2022 to Jan 2023.

The Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA)
requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than
20 working days after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it
will not be possible to meet that time limit and we are therefore writing
to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to 27
March 2023.

This extension is necessary consultation with CEDA is necessary to make a
decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably
be made within the original time limit.

 

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
