Extract of Accounts Payable Summary Spend Information
Shane Gibson made this Official Information request to Statistics New Zealand
The request was successful.
From: Shane Gibson
Dear Statistics New Zealand,
I would like an extract of the annual amount spent with all suppliers for the 2021/2022 financial year.
I would like this data in an open format, csv or json formats would be suitable.
I would like the following details provided:
- Supplier Name
- Suppliers NZBN number (if available)
- Total Amount Spent
I believe this information would be readily available via an extract from your Accounts Payable system.
Yours faithfully,
Shane Gibson

I’m working on your your official information act (OIA) request, dated 24
March 2023, for information about Stats NZ’s accounts payable spend, and
wonder if you could provide some clarification so we can be as helpful as
possible in our response.
You requested for the annual amount spent with all suppliers for the
2021/2022 financial year. I’m glad to inform you that Stats NZ is able to
obtain the GST exclusive total amount of all purchases from suppliers from
our general ledger and provide these in the fromat(s) you’ve requested.
However, obtaining the GST inclusive expenditure is not easily extracted
from our system.
Are you okay with Stats NZ providing the requested information, GST
exclusive?
If it would be easier to discuss this on the phone, please let me know and
I can arrange a phone conversation.
Ngâ mihi,

Hi Rafa
The GST exclusive total amount per supplier would be perfectly acceptable.
Cheers
