Railway crossing safety in Carterton
Patrick Dunford made this Official Information request to Carterton District Council
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Carterton District Council should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Patrick Dunford
Dear Carterton District Council,
Residents of Carterton have recently started to receive notices from Kiwirail concerning proposals to close one or more level crossings in Carterton Township.
Does Carterton District Council have any information about the safety of individual level crossings within Carterton Township?
If possible an expedited release of the information would be highly beneficial to residents in the area in order to be properly informed about the safety rationale that Kiwirail is citing as part of its crossing closure case.
Yours faithfully,
Patrick Dunford
