Children lifted out of poverty statistics
James made this Official Information request to Chris Hipkins
The request was successful.
From: James
Dear Chris Hipkins,
As per your speech to the Labour Party conference dated 28/05/2023 you stated that under Jacinda Ardern 77,000 children had been lifted out of poverty.
Jacinda Ardern’s own Labour Party conference speech dated 06/11/22 stated just 66,000 children had been lifted out of poverty.
Under the OIA please provide the statistics and details that show an additional 11,000 children were lifted out of poverty between the 06/11/22 and 19/01/2023 - the date of Ardern’s resignation.
Yours faithfully,
James
