Tçnâ koe Cody,
I am seeking clarification of your request to supply the risk modelling
data that was supplied to reinsurance provider(s). Would you please
confirm whether your request is intended to be for actual data files (in
which case, please also advise what format(s) you anticipate being able to
receive these in), or are to looking for the reports that Toka Tû Ake EQC
developed using that data?
Please note that as this clarification is sought within seven working days
of the receipt of your original request, the 20 working-day timeframe for
providing you with a response will re-set based upon the date on which you
provide this clarification.

I refer to your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the OIA)
for the reports that Toka Tū Ake EQC developed using the risk modelling
data that was supplied to reinsurance provider(s).
The OIA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day we received it, in this case, 20
days from the date of clarification of your initial request for the risk
modelling data that was supplied to reinsurance provider(s).
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit, and we are
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our
decision, by ten working days, to Tuesday 25 July 2023.
This extension is made under section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA, as the
necessary consultations are such that a proper decision cannot reasonably
be made within the original time limit.
Despite this extension, we will provide you with our response as soon as
possible.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review this
decision. The Office of the Ombudsman can be contacted through their
website at [1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz
