Legality and origins of Waka Kotahi

Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
The New Zealand Transport agency was set up by virtue of section 93 Land transport management act 2003 (https://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/publ...)
Up to sept 2019 the web site refelects that the name was New zealand transport agency with the words Waka Kotahi underneath ( https://web.archive.org/web/201909081656...) then the logo changed to be Waka Kotahi in bold and at the top with New Zealand transport agency underneath https://web.archive.org/web/201909081656...
Waka Kotahi is not legally defined and does not appear in legislation it is not even a registered trade mark
we have now progressed to the stage that Waka Kotahi is the " entity "refered to yet there is legally no such entity, it is not defined in legislation and appears to be the maori words invented for a crown entity .
while the 97% of the population who do not speak maori would not object to the words being underneath the name of the crown entity , is some how feels wrong that a fictional name has been attributred to a statutory entiy and now features first and often on its own without refence to the legal entity
By way of OIA please provide all documentation which gives a back ground to the creation of the words Waka kotahi including consultation with the public with regards to the adoptation of the maori name for a corown entity
Provide the legislative refences which create any legality to the words Waka Kotahi and approvals from parliament for this creation showing who approved this and when
Please provide the costs of rebranding and trademark costs etc. associated to making Waka Kotahi the main name as opposed to teh legal name coming first
Also provide documentation which show why the name was not tradmarked and the consequences of any one regestering a company Waka Kotahi Ltd
I am particularly concerned that assigning undefined non legal terms to legal entities whihc can confuse the public and potentialy opens the door for for fraudulent on the public Please provide all documentation which show that consideration of a undefined name has on accountability to the public .. frequently in news articles the statement is made that waka Kotahi is doing this or that.. how can an undefined name act or hold assets .. please provide any evidence you can that justifies the use of this undefined name

Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
thank you for your reply
English is my second language
I was educated in NZ from year 1
I am now finding that I am being corresponded with in a language whcih is goreign to me
could you please correspond to me in english and not using words whcih do not form the english language .
those who speak maori can have the choice therefore if you do not discriminate you will respect my choice and use english only and not a missmash of english and another language of ecenly interoduced words does not work for pensioners .
