Dear Bay of Plenty Conservation Board,
I am interested to know who the owners of newdicks Beach are? Sorry for my ignorance but I was under the believe that all beaches in nz are open to the public. There is a whanu owned access I know but do they also own the car park toilets and beach and if so why are rates payer and tax payer dollars been used and also how much has been spent through boprc wbopdc and doc to maintain and upkeep a private piece of land

Love to hear. They seem to shut the beach at their will for anything from filming to bad weather… beaches are meant to be public
