Tçnâ koe H. Hu

Thank you for your OIA request to the Department of Internal Affairs. Your reference number is 2324-0523.

We value your engagement and acknowledge your right to request information under the OIA. Our team is committed to providing transparency and accountability to the public.

In order to better assist, could you please confirm what you are hoping to get from this request?

If you are seeking information about processing timeframes for a specific application, I must advise that the Department of Internal Affairs (the Department) receive a number of Citizenship data requests which become quickly outdated, as the data is constantly changing.

If you have applied for Citizenship within the past twelve months, the processing timeframes can be found here https://www.govt.nz/browse/passports-cit...

As noted on our website, once the Department has looked over the application, you will be contacted if any additional information is required.

- Your request includes information specific to a country. I must advise that data counts between 1-4 are masked with <5 to help prevent identification of individuals.

Please confirm by Monday, 29 January 2024 whether you wish for the Department to proceed with your request or whether you would like someone from the Department to contact you regarding your OIA request. If you would like someone to contact you, please provide this to [email address]. Please DO NOT REPLY TO THIS RESPONSE WITH YOUR CONTACT NUMBER as it will become public on the FYI website.

If you choose to continue with the OIA request, the Department will provide a response as soon as practicable, and within twenty working days. The 20th working day is 22 February 2024.

Please note that, in cases where the Department’s response provides information that is identified to be of general public interest, the response may also be published on the Department of Internal Affairs website. If the Department publishes its response to your OIA request, all personal information, including your name and contact details, will be removed.

Ngâ mihi
