2. Number of applicants offered interviews each year (for both first-year

graduate)

3. Number of seats filled each year (for both first-year and graduate)

4. Lowest core GPA for successful applicants each year (for both
first-year and
graduate)

5. Lower quartile core GPA for successful applicants each year (for both
first year
and graduate)

6. Median core GPA for successful applicants each year (for both
first-year and
graduate)

7. Upper quartile core GPA for successful applicants each year (for both
first year
and graduate)

Dear Pruthvik,

 

I refer to your request of 8 May 2024 for information concerning
admissions to the University’s Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Medical
Imaging (Honours) and Bachelor of Optometry programmes. The University’s
response follows. You have my apologies for the delay.

 

“Please provide the following information for international student entry
to the Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of medical imaging(honours) and
bachelor of optometry programmes at the University of Auckland for 2019 -
2024 (six consecutive years).

1. Number of applicants each year (for both first-year and graduate)

2. Number of applicants offered interviews each year (for both first-year
and graduate)

3. Number of seats filled each year (for both first-year and graduate)”

 

“8. Interview core GPA cut-off each year (for both first-year and
graduate)”

 

The information requested for 2023 and 2024 is attached, subject to the
following:

 

o International Graduates for these programmes do not interview through
the MMI, and accordingly there is no GPA cut-off for International
Graduates. This part of your refuse is refused under section 18(g) of
the OIA.

 

The information requested for 2019-2022 cannot be provided with
substantial collation or research, and neither consulting with you,
extending the time limit, or imposing a charge would remove the reason for
this refusal. This constitutes a partial refusal of your request under
section 18(f) of the OIA.

The requested statistics are not held by the University, and the OIA does
not require us to create these. This part of your request is refused under
section 18(g) of the OIA.

You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are
dissatisfied with this response.
