Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
I am writing to request updated data under the Official Information Act 1982 regarding the Parent Resident Visa programme. The latest available data on the Immigration New Zealand website covers up to February 1, 2024. I am seeking more recent data, up to May 1, 2024.
Please provide the following:
Table 1: Number of Parent Resident Visa Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in queue by submission month.
Table 2: Number of Parent Resident Visa EOIs in ballot by submission month.
Table 3: Number of EOIs and applicants selected from the queue by selection month.
Table 4: Decisions on Parent Queue EOIs selected.
Table 5: Number of EOIs and applicants selected from the ballot by selection month.
Table 6: Decisions on Parent Ballot EOIs selected.
Table 7: Parent Resident Visa applications submitted by submission month.
Table 8: Parent Resident Visa application decisions by month decided.
Table 9: In-progress Parent Resident Visa applications, allocated vs unallocated by submission month.

Hey Nessy,
The information uploaded to the website is wrong - There is no way that there was only 1 in queue in Table 1 when you look at the other numbers. I cannot ask for this to be corrected but you can:
Table 1: Number of Parent Resident Visa EOIs in queue by submission month
There is 1 parent resident visa EOI in the queue.
There has been no updates on any EOIs selected post November 2023 / no decisions made post November 2023 for Table 3 & 4
There is also no update on the 9616 applications in queue - How many are completed and left to be processed
