Your request for official information, reference: HNZ00052388
Thank you for your email on 12 June 2024, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora for the
following under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Details of all vaccines promoted to the public by, or on behalf of, the Ministry of Health thus
far in 2024.
Copies of, or internet access to, all promotional material relating to the above including, but
not limited to: television, radio, newspaper and magazine advertisements; flyers, brochures,
pamphlets and leaflets.
Details of all vaccines the Ministry of Health plans to promote, or have promoted by other
parties, to the public during the remainder of 2024.
Response
Health NZ reached out to you on 19 June 2024 to seek a refinement to your request and advise
you that if your request wasn’t refined it would be refused as, in order to provide you with a
response, Health NZ would need to divert personnel from their core duties and allocate extra time
to complete this task. The diversion of these resources would impair Te Whatu Ora’s ability to carry
out our other core functions.
As we have not had a reply from you to our attempt to refine, your request is refused under section
18(f) of the Act.
I have considered whether fixing a charge for the supply of the information or extending the
timeframe for response would enable Te Whatu Ora to respond. I do not consider that either option
would remove the impact that supplying the information would have on our other operations.
