Thank you for your email on 15 August 2024, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora for 
the following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):  
“Can you please tell me how many vaccines were given in each age group, number 
of days after vaccine the person died” 
Response 
Please find attached, HNZ00061151 Appendix RT-670, in response to your request. 
Note that the data provided is all-cause mortality (including non-health related deaths such as 
accidents) and is therefore any death that occurred within the requested time period. 
Conclusions cannot be made or inferred on how the data relates to COVID-19 vaccination. For 
other important information about the data, please refer to the ‘Summary’ page of the 
appendix. 
Also note that “count of deaths” fewer than six have been withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the 
Act to protect privacy. In making this decision, I have considered the public interest and 
determined that it does not outweigh the need to withhold.
