Dear Keziah,

I refer to your email of 27 August 2024. The University’s response
follows:

"Please provide information for the total number of MAPAS graduates from
the MBChB (medicine) program for the following periods:

1. 2016-2022

2. 2017-2023

**understandable if those who finished in 2023 have not graduated yet. I
am requesting the most recent data"

Under section 12(2) of the OIA, requests for official information must
specify the official information requested with due particularity. Please
advise whether (1) you wish to request the total number of persons who had
been admitted under MAPAS who graduated from the University’s MBChB
programme in two overlapping periods, 2016-2022 and 2017-2023, or (2)
whether you wish to request information about programme completion rates
for a specific cohort.

If you wish to request information about programme completion rates for
students admitted to the Part II of the MBChB via MAPAS in, say, 2016, you
should note that this cohort would normally complete Part VI in 2020
(although some students complete programmes over a longer period than the
normal academic time). Also note that, due to the nature of our systems,
the University usually can only readily provide data based on the year in
which programme requirements were completed rather than by the year of
graduation.

Once you have specified the information requested with due particularity,
the University will respond as soon as reasonably practicable, within the
OIA’s maximum time limit of 20 working days, unless that time limit is
extended under the OIA.

Yours sincerely,
