MSD Company cars in at-fault crashes
Cody C made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development
The request was successful.
From: Cody C
Dear Ministry of Social Development,
Earlier in the year my vehicle was involved in an incident whereby the driver of my vehicle had to swerve to avoid a crash with a MSD company car driver who "just didn't see you there".
The driver of my vehicle took the details of the MSD driver and this was later followed up with the Police (who, it is my understanding, later issued a fine for dangerous driving) and Main Street (Palmerston North) MSD Office. However, I have not as yet had a response from the MSD Office and would like this matter resolved promptly before it escalates any further.
I am requesting any and all information and / or documents held by MSD (acting as WINZ) in relation to company vehicles (including, but not limited to, procedures for dealing with a crash where the company car was at-fault, dealing with insurance companies, amount spent on leasing/purchasing cars per year (per car), number of MSD staff involved in crashes (broken down by at-fault/not at-fault) and all reasonably possible information about these cars (such as models, etc.)) in accordance with the Official Information Act.
For the purposes of the Act I am a New Zealand Citizen and Resident at the time of making this request.
Yours faithfully,
Cody C
