•
Any internal correspondence within the Ministry regarding the
programme, including but not limited to, any repositioning of the
programme by the new government, whether the work completed to
date should be shared publicly, advice provided by advisors within the
Ministry, discussions regarding the findings from consultation with
service providers and service users, consideration of the findings of the
Royal Commission regarding abuse in care.
The Ministry has identified some relevant email correspondence, which will be
released to you, however finding all internal correspondence on the topic of the My
Home My Choice programme would require substantial research and collation,
therefore the majority of this part of your request is refused under section 18(f) of the
OIA.
We believe the documentation that will be released to you next week will provide you
with the information you are seeking, however after reading you are welcome to make
a more refined request for internal correspondence.
•
Any advice and/or external correspondence regarding the programme,
including but not limited to, correspondence with Ministers, third
parties or researchers
You will be provided copies of advice provided to the Minister for Disability Issues. No
advice or correspondence from other external parties or researchers has been
identified as in scope.
I note information about My Home, My Choice was also provided in the publicly
available 2024 Briefing to the Incoming Minister, which can be found here:
