Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
I am requesting the following information relating to the years from 1 January 2009 until and including 31 December 2014
1 The total number of traffic incidents/ accidents that are known to your Agency and involved drivers suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and using insulin as part of their treatment.
2 THe percentage of these incidents/accidents that involved drivers holding from Class Two to Class Five licences
3 The number of these incidents that involved serious injury (transported to and admitted to hospital)
4 The number of these incidents that resulted in a road fatality
5 The number of times your medical assessor would review or be requested to review the safety to drive (fitness to hold a licence) of a person sufffering from Diabetes Mellitus and using insulin as part of their treatment programme.
6 The medical qualifications of your medical assessor.
