Thank you for your email of 27 September 2024 requesting communications and 
correspondence between myself and Groundswel . Your request has been considered under 
the Of icial Information Act 1982 (OIA). 
 
You requested the following:  
 
“copies of all communications, including written correspondence and all types of electronic 
communications (such as emails, messages, and any other digital formats), between you 
and your office and members of the Groundswell organisation since your swearing-in as a 
Minister” 
 
Please find attached as Appendix One copies of emails to and from myself and members identified 
as being from Groundswell. Please find attached as Appendix Two, copies of texts between myself 
and identified members of Groundwell. Some information has been withheld pursuant to the 
following sections of the OIA:  
•  Section 9(2)(a) – privacy. 
 
I am satisfied that in the circumstances of this case, the withholding of the information is not 
outweighed by other considerations which render it desirable in the public interest to make 
the information available.
