Good afternoon P Robins,
Regarding your email dated 27 October (office reference OIA071), the
Minister’s decision to redact the name of an individual mentioned in a
text from a representative of Groundswell was based on privacy
considerations.
The individual in question was not directly involved in the communication.
It was deemed appropriate to redact their name to protect their privacy,
which is not outweighed by the public interest.
Kind regards,

Dear Andrew Hoggard (MIN),
Is the individual whose name is withheld a public figure? Because if that is indeed the case the conditions of public interest is significant and probably outweighs the need to withhold perhaps.
Yours sincerely,
P Robins
