Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 to the
Ministry for the Environment dated 01 December 2024 for the following
information:
 
I request a copy of the plan submitted to the Fast-Track Projects Advisory
Group by the Tahimana Limited Partnership labelled Tahimana and located at
Stagecoach Road in Tasman. Please provide all documents and analysis
supporting the Advisory Group's decision to assign this project as
Priority Five, when project FT236 Maitahi Village was assigned Priority
One and project FTA251 The Māpua Development was assigned Priority 2.
 
As outlined in our letter dated 9 December 2024, we transferred your
request for "all documents and analysis supporting the Advisory Group's
decision to assign this project as Priority Five, when project FT236
Maitahi Village was assigned Priority One and project FTA251 The Māpua
Development was assigned Priority 2” to the Ministry of Business,
Innovation and Employment (MBIE).
 
We have now published all applications submitted for projects to be
included in Schedule 2 of the Fast-track Approvals Bill. These
applications can be found on our website at:

We are therefore refusing your request for a copy of the plan submitted by
Tahimana Limited Partnership under section 18(d) of the Act, as the
information is now publicly available. We note that information that is
proactively released is carefully considered under the provisions of the
Act. In some cases, information may be withheld under section 9 of the
Act, but only where necessary and where the public interest in disclosure
does not outweigh the need to withhold, as outlined in section 9(1).
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Office of
the Ombudsman of our decisions relating to this request, in accordance
with section 28(3) of the Act. The relevant details can be found on their
