Dear Maritime New Zealand,
Can you please provide the following Maritime Transport Operator Certificate (MTOC) detail;
1. How many currently active MTOC are there in New Zealand.
2. What are these numbers split by Region (New Zealand's 16 Regions).
3. By Region, year, and by quarter (ie Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4), when are they due for renewal.
4. How many of the current MTOC have been issued extensions before their listed MTOC expiry date is due (as at 30/11/2024)
5. List the MTOC numbers with extensions by Region.

Thank you for your information request to Maritime NZ of 9 December 2024, as below.
We will respond to your request in accordance with the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). We will notify you of the decision on your request as soon as reasonably practicable and, in any case, no later than 28 January 2025, being 20 working days after the day your request was received. Please note this date takes into account the Summer holidays break (Dec 25 - Jan 15) as per the Ombudsman's guidance.
If we are not able to respond to your request by 28 January 2025 we will notify you of an extension to that timeframe.
