Working days are calculated in accordance with section 2 of the Official
Information Act:

working day means any day of the week other than—

(a)

a Saturday, a Sunday, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day,
the Sovereign’s birthday, Te Rā Aro ki a Matariki/Matariki Observance Day,
and Labour Day; and

(ab)

if Waitangi Day or Anzac Day falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the
following Monday; and

(b)

a day in the period commencing with 25 December in any year and ending
with 15 January in the following year.

2) When you say "will respond within 20 working days. taking into account the statutory holiday period of 5 December to 15 January.", are there special periods from 5 December to 15 January outside of official public holidays?
