Official information Request: Citizenship ceremonies - dates 
 
I am writing to you in response to your request received via transfer from the Department of 
Internal Affairs on 16 December 2024 for information regarding the dates for citizenship ceremonies 
taking place between December 2024 to December 2025. 
 
We have assessed your request under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 
1987 (LGOIMA). I have received information to provide the fol owing response: 
South Wairarapa District Council recently held a citizenship ceremony on 5 December 2024. 
There are no dates for citizenship ceremonies in 2025 as they are yet to be confirmed.  We generally 
hold three ceremonies per calendar year.
