Thank you for your Official Information Act (the Act) request of 13 December 2024.
You have asked for:
• records of al communications, written or spoken, notes of discussions and decisions,
text messages, voice mails and other message platforms such as Teams, WhatsApp
etc, and staff recol ections relating to a lecture scheduled for February 2025 by
historian Paul Moon. This should include any communication within the organisation
as wel as without. For the avoidance of doubt, it should include recol ections of
meetings and conversations that have not yet been put into writing, as wel as notes
on pads and post-it notes.
In response to your request, I am releasing to you most of the information requested, attached
as Appendix A, except for information noted on pads or post-it notes under Section 18(e) of
the Act as they do not exist.
Some material contained in the attachments is out of scope for the request, or has been
withheld under the fol owing sections of the OIA:

As is required by section 9(1) of the Act, I have considered whether the grounds for
withholding information are outweighed by other considerations which would make it
desirable, in the public interest, to make that information available. In this instance, I do not
consider that to be the case.
As this information may be of interest to other members of the public, the decision has been
made to proactively release a copy of this response on the Department of Internal Affairs
website at a later date. All requester data, including your name and contact details, will be
removed prior to release. The released response will be made available here:
