Thank you for your email of 24 February 2025 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment 
(MBIE) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information: 
 
I would like to request copies of the monthly reports up to today's date submitted by Community 
Law Canterbury - Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha (“the Law Centre”) to the Ministry in accordance 
with clauses 9 and 10 to Schedule 1 of the Funding Agreement for Independent Legal Support for 
NZCRS Homeowners (“the Funding Agreement”) dated 15 July 2024. 
 
In addition, I would like to request copies of the Terms of Engagement NZCRS Homeowners are 
required to enter into as part of accessing free legal support through the Law Centre (referenced 
in clause 5 to Schedule 1 of the Funding Agreement). 
These are requests made pursuant to the Official Information Act 1982. 
 
Please find attached the monthly reports as per your request. Please note that some information in the 
reports have been withheld under section 9(2)(a), to protect the privacy of natural persons, including that 
of deceased natural persons. 
 
I do not consider that the withholding of this information is outweighed by public interest considerations 
in making the information available. 
 
Please note, copies of the Terms of Engagement are between Community Law and the client they are 
providing advice too and will be specific to the matter advice is being provided on. Therefore, the second 
part of your request is being refused under section 18(e), as the information requested does not exist.
