Extension of time to respond to request under the Official Information Act - REF# 22/2025

I refer to your request for information, received by Massey University on the 7 March 2025.

I am writing to inform you that, under section 15A of the Official Information Act 1982, Massey University is extending the timeframe to respond to your request.

Massey University is unable to respond to your requests within the normal time limit set out in the Official Information Act, which is no later than 20 working days after the day on which the request is received.

Accordingly, Massey University is extending the time limit for a response to your request.

Massey University will respond to your request under the Official Information Act by no later than 15 April 2025.

The reasons for the extension are:

* the request is for a large quantity of information or necessitates a search through a large quantity of information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of Massey University.

You have a right under section 28(3) of the Official Information Act to make a complaint to an Ombudsman about this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at http://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/ or by freephone 0800 802 602.
