Japanese whaling programme
Graham Carter made this Official Information request to Minister for Primary Industries
The request was partially successful.
From: Graham Carter
Dear Minister for Primary Industries,
Whales are back on the agenda and could soon be killed in the Antarctic as part of a deadly proposed new “research” programme by the Japanese government.
It’s part of a huge new push back against the 30 year old global ban on killing whales for profit.
Could you please advise what the NZ government and the MPI are planning to do to stop this?
regards
Graham Carter
